Programa Focus
FOCUS MUJERES EMPRENDEDORAS is a 12-week program developed by CISNEROS for Venezuelan women entrepreneurs based in South Florida, looking to validate the scalability of their early-stage ventures. The program was developed in collaboration with the Idea Center at Miami Dade College, and is delivered in English to strengthen the communication skills of its participants and facilitate their insertion into the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Venprendedoras, a global community of Venezuelan women entrepreneurs, was co-created by an alumna from the first FOCUS cohort, and in 2022 joined CISNEROS as the implementing partner for the program.
During the program participants will embrace a bold entrepreneurial mindset while going
through three phases:
Understanding the problem/customer
Discovering their business models
Testing hypotheses of their ventures

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Individual
- Residents based in South Florida
- Venezuelan women
- Bilingual: English-Spanish
- Proficiency in computing systems
and technical applications
Venture
- An existing idea or early-stage venture
- Monthly sales of less than $5,000
- Availability of $500 to be applied to their
ventures as the program progresses
