The program "Getting Pitch-Ready" will offer first-generation Hispanic women entrepreneurs the training, connections, and confidence they need to present their businesses and secure funding for their initiatives.
This bilingual, intergenerational program will leverage the skills, enthusiasm, and self-esteem of younger entrepreneurs and the guidance, resilience, and experience of older participants.
First-generation Hispanic women entrepreneurs are a vital economic force in our community but face significant barriers to accessing resources.
For first-generation Hispanic migrant women over 40, running a business in the U.S. is extremely challenging.
These women often lack access to resources and connections and are unfamiliar with the U.S. business environment.
Limited English proficiency or a strong accent makes obtaining funding a challenge for two-thirds of these women.
The digital divide, impacted by gender and age, restricts business development opportunities for women over 40.
Social isolation and loneliness affect personal well-being and entrepreneurial success.
